Is that a Wand in your Pocket?

We don't like to go into too much detail about our private bookings, but we couldn't let this one go... Birthday parties with a St Trinians meets Hogwarts theme don't come along every day. Indeed ever. But they do give a marvellous excuse for some simmering sexual tension and cross dressing and inappropriate wand waving, which suits us just fine.

Our Naughty Schoolboy outfits did the trick, inspiring our newest best friend to use Bernie as a pole. Thats pole as in pole dancing, not plumbing. Special mention though must go to the unforgettable girl with the pigtails, whose stageside grand reveal put some pep in our performance just when we needed it most. We love you all. But we love your knickers more. See you in Taunton on the 19th, you lovelies! XXX

Seven Stars, Winkleigh

A new year, a new dawn, and we wanted to start as we mean to go on - in Winkleigh! We love the Seven Stars. It's cosmic connotations always bring out the best in us, and this trip had us rather excited. All seven must have aligned for us, cos this one was a belter!

Turner conquered both his existential crisis and unpredictable stool and actually levitated during Radar Love. Ben's shapes explored new geometries. Mark's guitar was godlike, and Bernie sang like a big hairy angel, his voice actually achieving frequencies only audible to the local wildlife during Mamma Mia. The real stars though were the crowd - great dancers, singers and raconteurs one and all.

We're booked in for 2012, so get some rest you fantastic folk of Winkleigh. We'll see you soon!

Sue's 21st (Slight Return)

The Bowling Green is well established as one of the most riotous drinking holes this side of Bedlam, and with good reason. Nowhere else could you stumble across such profound debauchery on a Tuesday night...

With an extra reason to Party (yes, with a capital ‘P’), in the form of Sue’s recurring 21st celebrations, the locals were primed for an evening of unparalleled over-consumption.

Fortunately, Sue had very wisely arranged a guitar-driven, s**t-kicking disco frenzy in the form of your four favourite
œbe-hatted troubadours, and much beer was duly sweated out.

We’re back at the BG on 21st March, when we have a surprise in store.... We’re keeping it under our hats for the moment, though.....
